This week, we’re featuring Chris English and his E 55 AMG from Dallas, Texas! Chris previously owned a 2009 E 350, which he drove for 130,000 miles before an accident unexpectedly brought his time with the car to an end. Afterward, he set his sights on finding an E 55 AMG.

After searching for nearly a year and a half, a friend spotted one advertised in The Star. Chris contacted the owner but learned that another buyer had already left a deposit. When that buyer failed to return the following week, Chris got another chance.

After the E 55 passed a pre-purchase inspection at Mercedes-Benz of Colorado Springs, Chris flew to Denver and took a shuttle to Colorado Springs to meet the owner. They went for a drive, finalized the deal at the bank, and Chris drove the car home to Dallas the following morning. Five years later, the E 55 has fewer than 70,000 miles and remains in excellent condition. It was certainly worth the wait!
