The car began its US ownership in Nevada perhaps as leased and then in private ownership. I acquired the car in April of 2018 at 139,309 miles from the previous Orange County, CA owners and brought it to San Diego. The maintenance for me has been done consistently at a local independent Mercedes shop. This car has been used regularly and relatively lightly during my ownership. Being retired and this being our secondary vehicle I have averaged about 3,000 miles per year in my nearly eight years of ownership. It is stored inside which has helped preserve its condition along with some periodic, professional cosmetic attention.
The windows have a light tint. It has an original factory sound system. The car is unmodified but for adding the circular, upright Mercedes hood emblem (rather than the flush badge) and removing the vestiges of a previous owner’s after-market radar detector system. I also had the wheels stripped of the chrome finish and repainted consistent with the factory originals. Included is a car cover. Everything is operational on the vehicle except for the passenger front seat SRS sensor.
Maintenance during my ownership includes (records available):
Regular service consistent with Mercedes recommended intervals. Most recently it had service A on November 12, 2025 (oil & filter, etc.).
Front tires just replaced.
Tires, both batteries in 2024, wipers, and brake service addressed as needed.
Spark plug set, breather hoses, air filters.
Warranty replacement of gas tank.
R&R of diagnostic sensor, air temp sensor, crankshaft position sensor.
Drive belt R&R for supercharger.
R&R coolant expansion tank, air intake hose, accessory belt, transmission mount, gaskets for oil housing/cooler, overflow hose.
R&R radiator.
R&R lower control arm and bushings and realign.
Left low beam headlight restored operation.
Replaced suede leather headliner.
R&R ignition switch.
R&R window washer pump.
It appears to my service shop that the Airmatic components have been replaced under previous ownership (no documentation available).
