OAM Father’s Day Display – June 21
SFBA Mercedes Club members are invited to participate in a special Father’s Day display at the Oakland Aviation Museum. Up to 10 Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be showcased beneath a vintage aircraft wing in the museum yard.
Display vehicles should arrive at 10:00 AM and remain until approximately 4:00 PM. Limited shade is available, so hats and sunscreen are recommended.
Drivers will receive a lunch voucher (burger, taco, or hot dog). Guests are welcome, and additional vendors—including Leah’s coffee cart—will be on site. Small bills are recommended.
Guests may bring non-alcoholic beverages, and water refill access will be available. The museum expects around 800 visitors throughout the day.
FIRST SUNDAY DRIVE
June 7 – Blackhawk to Clayton via Mount Diablo
Meeting Point: Starbucks Coffee, 4000 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville
Meeting Time: 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM
Departure: 10:00 AM
Route: Blackhawk Rd → Mt. Diablo Scenic Blvd → Southgate Rd → Summit Rd to the summit of Mt. Diablo State Park.
Intermediate Stop: Mount Diablo long-term parking, with a short walk to the peak. Bring cameras and binoculars for the views.
End Point: Peet’s Coffee, 5458 Ygnacio Valley Rd #10, Concord. Several nearby options for a no-host lunch.
The drive continues down Northgate Road through Walnut Creek toward Clayton, ending near the Concord/Clayton boundary.
