Award of Excellence
This award has been given by the Mercedes-Benz Club of America at the Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance starting in 2008. MBCA has presented an Award of Excellence or an award for the Most Historically Significant Mercedes-Benz at major national and international Concours. A recipients’ vehicle may include any pre-merger Mercedes, Daimler or Benz automobiles. The merger of Daimler and Benz occurred in 1926.
This award given is an elegant and tasteful crystal award engraved as such: The Mercedes-Benz Club of America Award of Excellence or the Most Historically Significant Mercedes-Benz, followed by our official club logo, then engraved with the event name, location and date.
This prestigious award is significant as it is presented at the concours as a corporate award sponsored by MBCA. It provides the club with notoriety, prestige and marketing exposure at a venue where many of the finest automobiles are on display and the most passionate automobile enthusiasts are in attendance.
This award has also been given in the past at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, the Concours of America at St. Johns, Plymouth, Michigan, the Forest Grove Concours, Forest Grove, Oregon, Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance, Boca Raton, Florida, Ault Park Concours, Cincinnati, Ohio, The Arizona Concours, Phoenix Arizona and the Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance, Pinehurst, North Carolina.
