An introduction of the FASCA -

The Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) Program in the USA and Canada since 2011. The program aims to build up connections between the second and third generation overseas youth, whose parents originated from Taiwan. The program includes: systematic training courses in local cities, volunteer projects in local mainstream society and community services. The program requires trainees to study and practice at the same time.

These high school students have been selected out of 600 applicants in the Bay Area annually. In order to be a FASCA member, the students must have at least 3.0 GPA, and be committed to 100 hours of community service each school year.

Our section has a rare opportunity in inviting them to perform for us at our Annual Member Appreciation Holiday Party this year. By attending our Annual Member Appreciation Holiday party, you're supporting these youth volunteers in earning their community services credit hours, and helping them to gain an edge in their college admission applications. As a token of our appreciation, and ensuring the safety of these youth volunteers, our Section will arrange and pay for a chartered bus for their transportation.

Before you know it, Christmas will be here!  It’s just around the corner!

The North Texas Section of the Mercedes Benz Club of America will be holding its annual Christmas party on December 17, 2022, 6:30pm, at the Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club once again.  The club has enjoyed having our Christmas Party previously at this venue, and we are looking forward to having it at this location again this year!  Those of you who have attended in the past will recall the club’s beautiful décor at this time of the year with its array of lights and wonderful holiday decorations.  It also is a great place to showcase Mercedes cars.  The setting is festive, the food is delicious, and every kind of music you can request will be available for dancing or just for enjoying.  Overall, it will be just what you need to keep you in that festive mood for celebrating!!

The festivities will begin at 6:30pm with cocktails and an assortment of delicious cheeses, crackers, fruits and berries.  After our first course salad, a delicious dinner buffet will be served with an assortment of foods from which to choose.  Dessert will also be served. Coffee, tea and water will be available throughout dinner also.  Tickets will be $45 per person and can be purchased by registering and paying through PayPal, see the button below.  The deadline for registering is December 7, 2022 so that a good head count can be given to Heritage Ranch on a timely basis.

There will be a pay as you go bar with wine, beer and mixed drinks.

Our entertainment for the evening will be Sam, the Magic Man. Sam is amazing and will bring an excellent program of magic and fun.  You don’t want to miss him!

A 50/50 raffle will also be held to benefit the club!  In addition, there will be a “white elephant” gift exchange, so each person needs to bring a wrapped gift of something that is no longer wanted, needed or used!  It should be something you already have; please don’t buy anything new for this!! The “white elephant” exchange is always fun and will help you to get to know everyone better.  It’s a real ice breaker!!

Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club is located just off Stacy Road @ Highway 75 North at 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, Fairview, Texas 75069.

Cocktail attire will be the dress for the evening.  It should be a great evening of fun, food, fellowship, and festivities while we celebrate the holiday season. Be sure to mark
your calendar now and plan to attend!!
