Trip To Wittmonds Restaurant

On April 28th, we visited The Wittmond Hotel & Restaurant, a historic establishment in Brussels, Illinois, has served locals and travelers in Calhoun County for over five generations. Founded by German immigrant Conrad Wittmond and still run by his descendants, the site features a full bar and a family-style restaurant known for its made-from-scratch dishes.  

Although the hotel rooms are no longer operational, club members enjoyed the original hardwood floors, antique furniture, and traditional, meals made with local ingredients, evoking a sense of timeless hospitality.
