This award has been given by the Mercedes-Benz Club of America at the Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance starting in 2008. MBCA has presented an Award of Excellence or an award for the Most Historically Significant Mercedes-Benz at major national and international Concours. A recipients’ vehicle may include any pre-merger Mercedes, Daimler or Benz automobiles. The merger of Daimler and Benz occurred in 1926.
This award given is an elegant and tasteful crystal award engraved as such: The Mercedes-Benz Club of America Award of Excellence or the Most Historically Significant Mercedes-Benz, followed by our official club logo, then engraved with the event name, location and date.
This prestigious award is significant as it is presented at the concours as a corporate award sponsored by MBCA. It provides the club with notoriety, prestige and marketing exposure at a venue where many of the finest automobiles are on display and the most passionate automobile enthusiasts are in attendance.
