Derby Day event

Members of the Niagara Section enjoyed a sunny ride to the Buffalo Raceway in Hamburg, New York on May 4.  There was a large crowd at the raceway but we had a private section for our group. There we enjoyed pre race games, gambling and a very generous buffet lunch.  Club members played games of chance designed by one of the event planners.  These games tested our knowledge and luck in order to win prizes.  The prizes included a painting of a horse, a set of bourbon glasses, alcoholic beverages and monetary gifts.  One member hit a jackpot provided by the Buffalo Racetrack. Of course there was plenty of betting on horses during the day and then for the Derby itself.  There were a few financially lucky people but everyone concerned the day a winner.
