1982 240D
It’s finally time to sell my MB 240D! I’ve had & preserved this beauty for 25 years. During my tenure with this car & prior to my ownership, it has been to the same repair shop since 1989!! The Indy shop owner Marcello is an old world MB mechanic, who can attest to the quality & roadworthiness of this always California car.
This car has only had 3 owners in its 42 year road life. The first owner only had the car for 1 year, and my neighbor down the street had it for the next 16. I bought it from her in 1999! The car went from her garage to my garage in the same neighborhood!
As you can tell by the all original MB paint, it has spent very few nights outside. My auto challenge has always been to keep my cars in perfect operating condition. I always replaced fluids, filters, mechanical parts, hoses & seals following my strict schedule. There are no leaks!
The 241K mileage does not reflect its mechanical condition, & it has an excellent Carfax report. I’ve done most of the maintenance myself & also have 14K of repair receipts over the 25 years. The car is sound enough to be a daily driver, & I would not hesitate to drive it cross country! I’ll detail my maintenance schedule for anyone seriously interested.
Most of the mechanical parts have been replaced over the years(OEM parts).Everything on the car works perfectly including the A/C, P/S, Heat, sunroof, power antenna, vacuum system, ignition, suspension & braking!!
If you’re looking for a 240D, this is the one for you! The only blemish is a torn drivers seat cover. Chrome, paint, glass, rubber, interior wood & interior finish are excellent, without rust anywhere. To many new parts to mention, and I believe Classic white on Palomino was the best combo that year. All original paint of course, with no repaint & no accidents.
I’m selling it for what I believe is a fair price, hopefully to someone who’ll take good care of her!
